Weekend Funnies

Weekend Funnies are back to bring some chuckles to your weekend in the form of our favourite webcomic strips from the past week. You can check out our favourite 6 after the thought for the week.

Nintendo-DoorStopSo there appears to be a bit of a backlash on the old interwebs to the newly announced Nintendo 2DS. I really don’t see what the fuss is about. Nintendo seems to spotted a gap in the market and made a budget version of the 3DS, minus the 3D, to fill it. Not a lot of people really want a 3D handheld. In fact 3D screens and TVs in general haven’t caught on as much as manufacturers had hoped for, BBC television, for instance, has put its 3D programming on hiatus for the immediate future.

The appeal of the 2DS seems to be aimed at those who don’t want to pay extra for a feature they’re never going to use but really want to play some great 3DS games, like Animal Crossing or Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. There’s also a lot of people who view €200 for a 3DS as a bit too much of a luxury, so why not give them a cheaper option? If you don’t like the idea of the Nintendo 2DS, it’s probably not aimed at you.

Now check out the webcomics and feel free to click on the source links at the bottom to visit the original creator’s sites. Note that the following strips might be offensive or not suitable for work!
