Final Call To Complete SAORVIEW Rescan
As the final weeks to complete the SAORVIEW re-scan approaches, SAORVIEW calls on viewers, who have not yet done so, to carry out a re-scan of their SAORVIEW equipment in order to receive technical upgrades to enable them to benefit from the development of further HD services on SAORVIEW. While the majority of Irish SAORVIEW customers have already completed the re-scan, it is necessary for the remainder to do so before Wednesday, 2nd April 2014 in order to ensure the continued reception of RTÉ One.
From Tuesday, 25th March SAORVIEW viewers who need to re-scan will see a message on screen for RTÉ ONE – viewers who see this on-screen message are advised to follow the instructions.
SAORVIEW customers who can see RTÉ One with the HD logo on the top right of their screens have successfully completed the re-scan and will not need to take any further action. Viewers who re-scanned in October are not required to do this process again.
Technical upgrades are a common factor in everyday life, but if customers are not comfortable completing the re–scan themselves, SAORVIEW advises to call on a friend or neighbour for assistance or visit a local electronics retailer if customers have questions. Failing this, re-scan guides and instructions are available on the SAORVIEW website www.saorview.ie and consumers can avail of additional customer support by contacting the SAORVIEW Helpline (1890-222 012) or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org .
