First Trailer Released For PlayStation Exclusive Show Powers

PSN_POWERS_TV_SERIES_COVERPowers is the PlayStation Network exclusive series based on the comic books of the same name by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. As the New York Comic Con trailer below shows, Powers is very much aimed at a mature audience. It’s been made by the same studio behind Breaking Bad and stars Sharlto Copley (District 9, A-Team), Susan Heyward (The Following) and comedian-turned-actor Eddie Izzard (Valkyrie, Hannibal).

Bendis described the premise of the show on the US PlayStation Blog: “Powers tells the story of homicide detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are ordinary detectives working on cases that just so happen to involve people with extraordinary powers”.

10 episodes of the show’s first season are currently being made and will air exclusively on the PlayStation Network. PS Plus subscribers will get access to the whole season, while all other PSN accounts will be able to watch the first episode for free. The show is expected to premiere in December.

Here’s the trailer (be warned: it contains quite a bit of swearing)…
