Oscar Nominations Announced

The Oscar nominations were announced live in LA at 5:30 AM PST this morning. This was the first time all the nominations were announced live.

Boyhood and The Imitation Game looked to be the Oscar front runners after Sunday’s Golden Globes, but surprisingly Grand Budapest Hotel and Birdman now lead the field with nine nominations each.

The other surprise was the Academy only selecting 8 of a possible 10 Best Picture nominees.
