Mighty No.9 Release Date Confirmed

Deep Silver has confirmed the release date for Keiji Inafune and Comcept’s retro-inspired Mighty No.9 game.

It will be available to download from September 18th in Europe (September 15th in North America) on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, PC, Mac and Linux. It will be available on PS Vita and 3DS at a later point.

Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Wii U will be getting a retail disc release of Mighty No.9 on day one. The retail version will include the “Ray” DLC add-on, which will also be given to Kickstarter backers for free.

Pete Brolly, Deep Silver Senior Global Brand Manager, wrote on the PlayStation Blog: “Mighty No. 9 is truly a transformative experience for the 2D side-scrolling action genre, with deep roots in gaming spanning generations of gamers. Taking into account decades of design experience as well as tens of thousands of pieces of feedback from the Kickstarter backers (thank you!), comcept and Inti Creates have put together all of the best elements of 8 and 16-bit classics that you love, and infused them with fresh mechanics to reinvigorate the genre.”
