Our last few Kickstart This! columns have looked at very successful campaigns that have reached or even over-reached their original target goals before we managed to cover them. This week we have two that haven’t yet hit their targets. These projects still need backers and still have some great Early Bird offers available. But first, what about the projects we covered in the last Kickstart This!?
It was all about personal audio last time out, with the Batband and the PUGZ Wireless Earbuds. The Batband has been funded to the tune of over $440,000 for an original target of $150,000 and still has 25 days left to go. There are still a few backer deals left as well. The PUGZ have been pledged an astonishing $887,839 towards the project. They only required $50,000. There’s only six days left on the project, but there are still some deals to be had.

The Madrid-based guys at Shot.io have come up with an interesting Kickstarter project – the ability to create, share and watch virtual reality using your iPhone. With the fantastic camera and processing power of the iPhone 6 (and 6S), Shot is adding the final ingredient to make phone virtual reality, well . . . a reality.
The Shot is a dual-lens attachment for your phone that increases the field-of-view of the camera and a companion app that allows you to record and share content. The attachment is designed for the iPhone 6, 6 Plus, 6S and 6S Plus and the recorded content will be compatible with Google Cardboard.
The guys are looking to raise €89,890 for this project to kick on and thus far they’re on just over €15,ooo. But there’s still over 27 days to go and nearly 100 cool Early Bird offers available to back. We particularly like the €62 Early Bird Shot Lens Kit. Go for it!
