Valve Promises Steam Link Update Will Add Mac Support

Valve has apologised to customers who have purchased their Steam Link streaming hardware expecting it to work with Mac computers.

Steam Link doesn’t currently support Macs out of the box but Valve promises that they are working on a firmware update for the device that will add compatibility and it will be released in the coming weeks. They’ve also promised the same for the Steam Controller, which is also unsupported.

Anyone affected by the issue will find a Valve Complete Pack, which includes all of Valve’s games, “past, present and future”, added to their Steam accounts. Any unhappy customers still have the option to return the hardware if they wish.
