Don’t Expect EA To Release HD Remakes Says Peter Moore

Head of EA, Peter Moore (pictured above), has told IGN that EA isn’t in the business of doing HD remakes, and has dashed our hopes of a Mass Effect Trilogy Remaster any time soon (Nooooooo!!!!). He said that the publisher has neither the time nor the interest in taking on such projects.

He told the site: “Remakes, because of who we are, and this broad portfolio of intellectual property…you add all that together, I don’t know where we find the time to do remakes.”

He acknowledged that a lot of companies do well out of remasters but that it is not part of the “culture” at EA.

At least for those on Xbox One, they will still be able to play a lot of their favourite Xbox 360 EA games on the system, including Mass Effect, soon when backwards compatibility is added. Still, we can’t help yearn for the vistas of Eden Prime and Noveria being remastered… Sigh.
