Titanfall’s Jon Shiring Gives Talk On Online Multiplayer Development

Have you ever been sitting in a game’s multiplayer lobby and wondered why the population of said lobby is dwindling? Or even what difference dedicated servers actually make to your online experience? And why does it take so long for a developer to release a patch for a game?

The Rackspace video embedded below is a talk given by Respawn Entertainment’s Jon “Slothy” Shiring on the above subjects and more. Shiring was the lead engineer on Titanfall and previously worked on games like Savage, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
